Vintage Japanese Bronze Vase, Sorori Ikebana Tea Ceremony, Signed Wooden Box

This is a vase made of copper named 曽呂利 SORORI.
The origins of the name "sorori" are said to be numerous.
In Japanese, the word sorori means slowly and quietly.
It is also said to be the nickname of one of the vassals of the warlord Hideyoshi. He was a sword sheath maker by trade, and it is said that when the sheath he presented to Hideyoshi matched the sword perfectly, the sound was so slow and quiet that his retainer nicknamed him Sorori.
It is said that Hideyoshi was so fond of his retainer that he used his name for the vase he used for tea ceremonies.

It is also famous that 千利休Sen no Rikyu, the founder of 侘び茶wabi-cha, owned this sorori as his favorite item.
The color is a deep brown. In bright light, it looks more black.
It is in good condition and has a kanji signature on the back. It is ready to use. It comes in a wooden box with a Kanji character signature and is recommended as a gift.
