Japanese antique 1880s furniture black lacquer makeup drawers with vanity mirror stand tansu MAIKO GEIKO metal clasp H22.8×W10in/H58×25.5cm.
This chest was used as a mirror stand. The stand portion can be easily removed.
This item was made in the Meiji period. It has five drawers and is coated in black lacquer. The metal fittings are beautifully designed with motifs such as flowers.
There are some peeling lacquer cracks, and scratches from age, but there are no major cracks and it can be used immediately.
Mirror not included.

It is in good condition, but there are scratches ,cracks and dirt due to aging. The lacquer is peeling and there are signs of repairs.
