Set of 5 Japanese antique trays with Carrying box "obon" wooden black Lacquer

This is a unique and rare item.
It's a set of five small wooden trays, complete with a beautiful wooden box for carrying them. Originally crafted for Kyoto geisha to serve sake and other refreshments to their guests. The set includes only the trays and box; sake cups are not included.

The trays feature exceptionally beautiful wood grain, with a stylish design of a black base accented by red-painted edges. The carrying box is designed to hold all five trays evenly spaced. The trays have a slight warp but no major damage and are ready for immediate use.
This is a meticulously crafted item rarely seen today.

It is in good condition, but there are scratches and dirt due to aging. 
The lacquer is peeling and the tray is warped. The box lid also has metal fittings to secure the lid, but there is no pin to lock the fittings.
