This is a very light flower vase made of natural gourds. A narrow shape of the gourd is beautiful with its vine attached. It can stand itself and be hung on the wall by the palm fiber string wrapped around its neck. Even Sen no Rikyū, the founder of the Way of Tea , actively incorporated gourds into his tea rooms, utilizing them as charcoal baskets and flower vases. Some of these gourds have even been in continuous use for nearly 500 years.
