Large! Japanese antique 1910s Suiban /Bronze HIBACHI brazier/ made of hunaita wood ,urushi lacquer, bronze For IKEBANA or Tea W17.7in/W45cm.

This is a unique and lare item.
Originally called an 置炉 okiro(brazier), this item is used in place of a furnace in a tea room. Since the inside is covered with copper, it is recommended to use it as a flower vase for ikebana (flower arrangement).
It is made of wood and lacquer. The characteristic feature of this item is that it is made of old wood with a unique texture called 舟板 funa-ita.
These boards were originally used as part of ships and other vessels. The long time it has been used in the water has given it a unique texture. These boards are also popular in Japan and are used for interior components. Today, there are fewer boats and other vessels made of wood, so this type of material is no longer available.
There is an atmosphere that is familiar to the Japanese wabi-sabi spirit. A mind that sees change over time not as deterioration but as taste.
Depending on your ideas, it would be cool to put gravel here and decorate with suiseki stones.
