萩焼 Hagi-yaki is a type of pottery mainly produced in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It is characterized by its simple, unadorned style, and since it is not painted, the natural texture and beauty of the clay can be felt. Additionally, the color changes with use, and this change gives a sense of wabi-sabi, making it one of the potteries loved by tea ceremony practitioners since ancient times.
The cup is relatively small and easy to hold, with a slender shape and a beautiful pale orange-pink gradient marble pattern.
