This is a small sake cup in a wooden box.
It is called as "猪口 ochoko" or "ぐい呑 guinomi".

萩焼 Hagiyaki is pottery made mainly in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It is characterized by its simple, unadorned style, and because there is no painting, the original texture and beauty of the clay can be felt. It is also said that the more it is used, the more its color changes, and this change is also said to give a sense of wabi and sabi, making it one of the pottery loved by tea ceremony masters from long ago.
