This was originally crafted as a container for serving Japanese sweets.
The slightly deep bowl, made of wood and lacquer, is exceptionally beautiful. It is meticulously carved into the shape of a chrysanthemum flower, a labor-intensive process. The interior is painted red, while the exterior features a reddish hue with a hint of brown.
Its delicate and careful craftsmanship becomes even more apparent when held in hand.
