Japanese vintage portable Suzuri-bako Zen writing set Ink calligraphy with lacquer box bird flower design Brush ink etc 9.6×7.1in/24.5×18cm.

This is a vintage ink set.
The set includes an inkstone, ink stick, brush, and metal water dropper. 墨Sumi ink is also included.
The brush, inkstick, and sumi ink have never been used.
A water drop SUIKEKI, is a tool used to drip a small amount of water onto the inkstone.
It can be used immediately for practicing Kanji characters, sutras, etc.

The box has a legendary bird called a phoenix and a paulownia flower, in which the bird is said to appear, painted on the bottom using a technique called maki-e. In addition, shells are embedded using a technique called raden (sea shell inlay), which sparkle beautifully from different angles.
A picture of the method is also drawn on the underside of the lid.
It comes in a wooden box and is recommended as a gift.
