This design is shaped like a small building, with doors opening on all sides. The roof-like part on top is removed, and the inside is covered with thin wooden panels.
The metal parts are also delicate. It would be cool to display it as an ornament.
This is a Buddhist tool called as "位牌 Ihai".
An ihai is a small rectangular wooden board that is placed in a box with legs and made to stand. The names of the deceased ancestors and their names in the afterlife are written on those wooden boards. The Ihai is placed on a Buddhist altar at home or at a temple. When performing Oharai, people stand or sit in front of the altar and put their hands together to show respect.
