Japanese vintage furniture Small lacquer Chest of drawers "tansu" with Makie flower design box H11.8×W13.1×8.5in /H30×W33.3×21.5cm.

This small wooden chest has an open door on the upper half. The surface is lacquered, and the front is beautifully decorated with gold-colored flowers painted in 蒔絵 makie style.
It has three drawers that move smoothly.

This is a beautiful and practical chest with drawers.
There are some small cracks and peeling lacquer, but there is no serious damage that would interfere with its use.
