This is a rusty iron lantern. This is called a 灯籠 TOURO lantern.
The sides are designed with openwork of flowers and arabesques.
It is even more beautiful when the door is opened to let in light. A long chain is included for convenience. Overall, there is rust from age, but that also adds to the cool atmosphere.
It can be placed in the garden or hung up for decoration.
