Japanese vintage black Lacquer urushi Pair of small sake cups aperitif goblet, wood craft "sakazuki" for gift H4.3in/H11cm.
This is a very small and beautiful sake cup made of wood and lacquer.
It was probably made during the Meiji period (1868-1912), when Japan was actively adopting Western culture.
It is very carefully crafted in Wajima lacquerware.
It has many layers of lacquer and is strong, light and beautiful.
It is recommended for drinking sake as well as aperitifs.

condition...
It is in good condition, but there are small scratches and dirt due to aging.
I list antiques that sometimes have chips, rubbings and cracks
as they are very old antiques so please check the images and understand the current
condition before buying.
