Japanese vintage black ink painting scroll fine Mountains landscapes parent and child, hanging scroll Kakejiku H81.1in/H206cm.

These are called KAKEJIKU, or hanging scrolls, and are calligraphy or oriental paintings on silk or paper.
In Japan, masters keep a variety of kakejiku. They can be picture scrolls representing the seasons or calligraphy that expresses feelings or messages to guests.

Another nice thing about them is that they can be rolled up for compact storage.

These paintings are called sansuiga (landscape painting) and depict Japanese or Chinese natural scenery. If you look closely, you will see two parents and a child in the center trying to walk home. It depicts a scene of people living quietly in a large mountain or other natural setting.
It is not signed and the details of who painted it are unknown.
