Japanese Mahavairocana Buddha Statue, Gold Metal Buddhism Sculpture, H5.9in/H15cm

This Buddha statue is called 大日如来 Dainichi Nyorai. He is the highest-ranking Buddha in Esoteric Buddhism, symbolizing the universe itself and the source of all life. His name means "great sun," and he is a being who illuminates the world with light. He is the principal image of 真言密教 Shingon Esoteric Buddhism, which was introduced to Japan by 空海 Kukai.
The Buddha's hands are clasped together, called "印 in" Mudra  and each shape has its own meaning.
This mudra is called "智拳印" Kenchi-in.
The index finger of the left hand is raised and clasped with the remaining fingers, and the index finger is then wrapped around with the right hand (or held down with the thumb). The right hand represents the world of Buddhas, and the left hand represents the world of sentient beings, signifying that the Buddha becomes one with all sentient beings, eliminating earthly desires and bestowing wisdom.

It is made of metal and decorated with gold. There is some rust and tarnish over time, but no major damage.
The extremely intricate carving is beautifully expressed.
The artist's name is engraved on the back.

It is in very good condition, but there are small scratches , Surface cracks and dirt due to aging. Upon closer inspection, there is a superficial crack on the right side near the forehead. It is not a serious damage that will cause immediate problems.
