This item is an instrument used when chanting sutras at Japanese temples.
It sounds very good.Because It is made of a special metal called SAHARI.
SAHARI is an alloy of tin and copper and is a very hard metal. It is called a luxury item because it contains a lot of tin. This item is small but heavy and stable.

This orin is a high-grade orin made in the atelier of Takaoka copper ware.
It is signed with the Chinese character for "pho" on the inside bottom.
This is called a 鳳雲Houun-rin. This simple and beautiful gold-colored orrin has a good sound and can be used in any sect.

It is in very good condition, but there are slight discoloration, small scratches and dirt due to aging. This is a dead stock. Part of the base is peeling.
