Japanese Bamboo Window Blind, Silk Trim and Tassel (H66.9×W34.6in/H170×W88cm)

"暖簾Noren” or ”御簾misu.” This item is sold as a single piece. The rim is gold with peony flowers and arabesque pattern in white, fully made of silk. The tassel is reddish brown with a bronze hook.
The screen is made of thinly split bamboo and other materials woven side by side with thread, and are used to divide a room or block out the sun.
The bamboo is very delicate, and the use of silk fabric for the edging adds strength and luxury.
They are very expensive and are made entirely by hand. In Japan, it has been commonly used in aristocratic residences and temples since ancient times.
It is often used in summer because it moderately blocks light.
It has a hook attached to its strong surface, which is rolled up and hung, and then secured in an upright position.  All four edges (top, bottom, left, and right) are covered with a strip of silk fabric woven with arabesque and phoenix designs. The metal fittings are also decorated with beautiful arabesque patterns.
Silk tassels are also attached for an elegant look.
