Japanese antique porcelain Beautiful vessel Kutani set of three sake cups, arabesque pattern,Edo era
This set of three sake cups were made 100 and more years ago. This style, combination of color and patters are characteristics of "Kutani" porcelain, one of famous kilns known for its high technique and a sense of art.
A pretty Chinese milk vetch flower is drawn surrounded by golden dainty arabesque with contrasting indigo cubic pattern near the bottom.
Looking inside, diamond shaped pattern runs along the inner rim and petals are shown at the bottom.
These are well made in the practical aspect, your lips feel comfortable as it touches to help you taste sake precisely.
Of course these go well with tea since they are made bigger than normal sake cups.
