Japanese Antique ceramic doll small Figurine of Japanese lucky god 弁天benten ,Kimono Woman playing the biwa lute 1880s H4.1×3.7in/10.5×9.5cm.

It is based on a deity called 弁天Benten.
She is the goddess of wisdom, eloquence, and skill. She is said to be an Indian Hindu goddess who came to Japan and changed her appearance. The figure playing a musical instrument called 琵琶biwa has a unique atmosphere.
The 琵琶biwa was made from the end of the Edo period to around the Meiji period (1868-1912).
The colors are beautiful light beige and green. Although small, it is delicately made and the color changes are wonderful. It is recommended as a gift.
