Green tea bowl Japanese vintage CHAWAN KI SETO old kiln ware handmade Matcha Cup Tea Ceremony pottery with box signature H2.2×6.3in/5.5×16cm.

This tea bowl is a pottery called 黄瀬戸焼Kiseto. 瀬戸焼Seto ware with a light yellow glaze。
Along with 志野Shino ware, 織部Oribe ware, and 瀬戸黒Setoguro ware, this is one of the tea bowls that were fired in the kilns of Mino (Gifu Prefecture) during the 安土桃山時代Azuchi-Momoyama period and favored by tea masters like RIKYU利休.
This was created by Kawamura Kenzan (1938-). He was born in Seto and has made many tea bowls. He has won many prizes at pottery exhibitions.
It is called yellow, but it has a very gentle, natural light color, almost beige, and is very elegant. The name is peacock pattern. As the name suggests, the continuous pattern like peacock feathers is unique.
The overall color is earthy and beautiful without being too assertive.
The artist's name is engraved on the back and it comes in a wooden box, making it a good gift.
