FINE! RARE! Japanese vintage Kabuki doll Beautiful KIMONO women looking back made of wood carved with sign for Gift H10.2×5.9in/H26×15cm.

This is a wonderful piece of sculpture carved entirely out of wood. The overall balance, gestures, and facial expressions are as if it were alive and ready to move at any moment.
It is truly a beautiful and well-crafted work of art. The ennui of the facial expressions is especially wonderful. This is the moment of tying or unfastening the obi of a kimono.
The hair accessories, called kanzashi, are made of wood and different materials.
No details on the artist are available, but it says it is the work of a professor at an art college. Kanji characters 昇 is inscribed there as well. There are many dolls made of ceramics and other materials, but such well-carved wooden female dolls are rare and precious.
It is recommended as a gift.
