FINE! Japanese vintage bronze Lantern, garden lamp, Hanging Lantern Tsuridoro with chain bells and arabesque open work H10.8in/H27.5cm.

This is a beautiful lantern made of copper. This is called 灯籠Touro.
In Japan, 灯籠Tourou are not just lights, but they have an inherent Buddhist meaning.
In Buddhism, "灯Light" is believed to ward off evil spirits, and the custom of lighting a fire in front of the Buddha has been passed down to the present day. It also has the meaning of using a light as a signpost to prevent the deceased from getting lost in the afterlife.In Japan, they are displayed in temples, inns, and Japanese gardens.

In Japan, they are displayed in temples, ryokan (Japanese-style inns), and Japanese gardens. By removing the screws at the bottom, you can put a light inside.
Made of very heavy and luxurious copper. It makes a beautiful sound when the wind blows.
If you look closely, you can see that the shape of each bell is different. The openwork carving is also beautiful. The design is interesting as it resembles the shape of pillars of Japanese shrines and temples.

In very good condition, but with rust scratches and stains due to age. One bell is missing. There is rust on the steel chain. It's ready to use.
