FINE! Japanese Antique furniture Small lacquer Chest of drawers reddish brown TANSU butterfly metal clasp H12.4×W13.5×9.1in/H31.5×34.3×23cm.

A beautiful chest with four drawers and storage space at the top. Handcrafted from wood, it is lacquered in a slightly reddish brown color. It was made during the Meiji and Taisho periods.
First of all, the original butterfly-shaped metal fittings and the overall wood grain are wonderful.
Unlike mass-produced items of today, all hardware is handcrafted, adding to its charm.
The small drawers are extremely convenient for storing small items.
The drawers have some scratches, small chips, and stains, but there are no significant damages that would impair their functionality. The top lid is slightly warped.
With no patterns or other distinctive features, it does not clash with other parts of the interior and can be combined with non-Japanese-style decor.

This is in overall good condition, with some minor scratches over time. There are some stains and small chips in the wood on the inside of the drawers, but they are not a problem for use.
