The Story of This Piece:
This pair is an ornament of a fish called 鯉KOI(a carp). Cast metal and light painted. Holes at the bottom allows water flow inside in order to sink it into water.

Carp adorn Japanese gardens. Recently, Japanese carp have become very popular overseas. In fact, Koi has been loved as a symbol of good luck.
The legend of the carp transforming into a dragon was introduced to Japan from China, and in Japan, it was interpreted that the carp's efforts turned it into a dragon, and it became popular as a symbol of success.
