1700s Japanese antique TANBA hand made ceramic jar flower vase Wabi Sabi H9.4in/H24cm

This is a Tamba ware vase made in the 1700s. 丹波 Tamba ware has a very long history and was produced in Hyogo Prefecture at one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns. It is strongly influenced by pottery made in the 室町 Muromachi to 鎌倉 Kamakura periods.
Its distinctive features include the "ash covering" created by a chemical reaction between wood ash and the iron in the soil, and the unique texture of the melted "natural glaze (vidro glaze)," which creates a unique character that goes beyond human intention.
The overall shape is beautiful, and the line that tapers from the plump body to the base is elegant and beautiful.
There is a crack at the rim, but the rest of the condition is excellent, making this an extremely valuable item.
