Japanese Antique urushi Red lacquer wooden nesting three bowls with Kanji 寿(congratulations) Gold, wood craft 1920s "SAKAZUKI" 5.3in/13.5cm.

This is an old wooden nesting cup set.
Old lacquer ware is heavy and solid with a thick layer of lacquer. Everything is made by hand.
Great for drinking sake, but beautiful to decorate your room.
It is called 盃Sakazuki in Japan, and it is popular to collect and enjoy it because it has various patterns.

The large Kanji character drawn on the inside is Fuku福, 禄Roku, 寿Ju.

This is a sign of congratulations. It is also a word to celebrate longevity. The name of the school is drawn on the back, so this item was probably made as a school memento. It is in very good condition and can be used immediately. It comes in a wooden box, so it makes a great gift.
