FINE! RARE! Japanese vintage Noh doll red mask Dancing Child Spirit "天鼓” made of wood and silk KIMONO for Gift H8.7×4.7in/H22×12cm

This 能 Noh puppet wearing the mask of a child's ghost is beautifully crafted. The hairstyle, kimono, and other costumes are exquisite, and the hands are delicately made.
The puppet is wonderfully crafted with a sense of dynamism.
This is one of a series of puppets created based on the theme of Noh, a traditional Japanese performing art. Other puppets by the same artist are also listed.
This puppet is based on a performance called “天鼓 Tenko.”  
It is based on an old Chinese story about a king and queen searching for a phantom drum and an elderly couple who lost their child. When the king strikes the phantom drum, it makes no sound, but when the elderly couple strikes it, the ghost of their lost child appears and performs a beautiful dance to the sound of the drum.
This is a representative work depicting universal parental love.  
It stands independently integrated with a square wooden base, but the brown tray below is not included.
