FINE! Japanese vintage 1960s Kabuki doll named "桃太郎 Monster Hunter" made of wood and silk KIMONO for Gift H11.8×6.7in/H30×17cm.
The dolls are made of wood, silk, and other materials and are of excellent workmanship.
The eyes are filled with glass, making them look as if they are alive.
The kimono she wears is also carefully crafted from a truly wonderful woven cloth.
The motif of this work is an old Japanese folk tale.
He is called 桃太郎 Momotaro/Peach Boy, and in the story he is said to have been born out of a large peach that came down the river.
Momotaro is raised by a certain grandfather and grandmother, and the story is that he eventually goes to exterminate ogres.
Flags and other items with Momotaro written on them can be removed. He is holding an iris flower in his hand. It is truly beautiful piece of work.
The wooden board pedestals at the feet are integrated.
