This orin is a handmade high-grade orin made in Takaoka, a famous copper production center. It comes with an original base and has a cool aged atmosphere. Basically, they are made to order and used at temples and other places. The round shape is made by pounding flat copper sheets together. After the orin is made, he “tunes” it by repeatedly tapping it while listening to the sound. This delicate process has earned him the nickname “the orin tuner. It sounds very nice and the sound lasts a long time. This Buddhist bell has a wonderful tone that is perfect for meditation, yoga, and relaxation.
The stick is made of wood and leather. The bell is signed “妙龍” in Kanji characters. The stand with cat legs is gorgeously covered in vermillion lacquer and outlined in gold. There is a small crack on the base, but it is not a problem for use.
