達磨Daruma, the motif, is a Buddhist monk who introduced Buddhism from India to China. He is also called Zen master.
This Daruma is made with a cute impression of a smiling face. It is a unique item mixed with Japan's unique culture. There are many indigenous gods in Japan. One of them is 恵比寿Ebisu and 大黒Daikoku, two gods combined with the image of Daruma. Ebisu-sama is a well-known god of business prosperity, and the Kanji character "福Fuku Happiness" is written on it. The other god, Daikoku-sama, holds a sea bream and is said to be the parent of Ebisu-sama, and they are often displayed as a set. It is recommended to place them in a clean, sunny and bright place.

It was made to imitate Daruma's "座禅zazen" figure.
Zazen" means to unify one's mind in a state of persistent dreaming, with one's legs crossed and one's posture straightened.
