LARGE! Japanese antique 1800s Zushi Cabinet kamidana with gods dolls home shinto shrine ornament Edo craft W22.4in/W57cm.

This is a very old and well cared for 神棚 KAMIDANA Shinto altar private home Shinto altar in a very old house. God dolls are enshrined on both sides. These are unglazed and very old. They are called Ebisu and Daikoku, both are one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune and are believed to bring good fortune, prosperous business and a good harvest.
The entire piece is blackened with soot, giving it a unique cool atmosphere. It has a presence just by being placed, and has a pristine beauty.
In Japan, there is a long-standing custom of building a kamidana inside a house or store to worship various gods and Buddha.
This kamidana has a central door that can be opened to enshrine gods and Buddha inside. The entire surface is shaped in a way that it can be easily removed, and the inside can be decorated with money or special objects.
There are some splits and damage to the wood, but overall there is no major damage and it can be displayed immediately.
It is also large in size, so it is recommended to set it up in a store or other place to pray for business prosperity.
We will try to preserve the original atmosphere as much as possible so as not to remove too much dust and dirt over the years.
