The Kinuta itself has been used for a long time as a tool to soften washed cloth by placing it on a stand when it is freshly dried and beating it with a stick or a mallet to stretch out wrinkles. This is a heavy type with a large beating portion, and is used for straw.
It is also recommended to hang hats or necklaces on it for interior decoration.

It is in good condition, but Overall, the wood is scratched and dirty from age, but that's cool.
