This is a vintage Japanese ink writing tool set.
The brushes are brand new brushes and and although not pictured, liquid sumi ink is also included.
This set is perfect for starting calligraphy right away.
It includes an inkstone, ink stick, brush, and metal water droplet all in one package. Liquid sumi ink is also included.
筆The brush, 墨sumi ink have never been used.
The item called a 水滴SUITEKI is a tool used to drip a small amount of water onto the inkstone.
It can immediately be used to practice Kanji characters, sutra writing, and other forms of calligraphy.

The box is decorated with a flowers in maki-e lacquer. It is drawn in gold in a slightly raised manner. However, there are scratches and other marks from age. There are cracks on the inside of the inkstone, but they are not deep enough to cause it to break.
Overall, there is no major damage and it can be used immediately.
It is also recommended as a gift.
