This is a flower vase made of bamboo and lacquer. It is large and impactful, and looks beautiful just by displaying it.
It is intricately woven in a spiral pattern. Lacquered in red and black, it features a beautiful gradient that changes depending on the viewing angle.
This item is called Suruga lacquerware and was made in the area around present-day Shizuoka Prefecture.
A bamboo tube is included inside, so you can immediately arrange flowers and enjoy them.
