Daruma "達磨DARUMA" refers to the 禅ZEN monk who introduced Buddhism from India to China.
It depicts Daruma, a monk who is said to have introduced Zen from India to China. The way the red robe is painted is very unique and impressive.
He has a unique aura, but the circle behind him is enigmatic as to whether it is his aura or a moon-like light.
The pale green silk around it is also beautiful.
It was painted by 永井暁月Nagai Gyougetsu. He was selected for various exhibitions, demonstrating his natural talent for painting. He created many glossy Buddhist paintings with compositions based on traditional styles.
