Japanese vintage HAGI ware ceramic kiln Perfect tea cups set SENCHA with wooden box tableware Tea ceremony For GIFT.

This is a Japanese tea cup called a 湯呑yunomi. The size is larger than a full-fledged sencha tea set and is recommended for drinking something other than sencha.
They are also called "couple teacups" and have long been popular as gifts sent to celebrate marriages and other occasions.
There are small and large sets in slightly different sizes.
They come in a wooden box and are unused as they are dead stock.

萩焼 Hagiyaki is pottery made mainly in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It is characterized by its simple, unadorned style, and because there is no painting, the original texture and beauty of the clay can be felt. It is also said that the more it is used, the more its color changes, and this change is also said to give a sense of wabi and sabi, making it one of the pottery loved by tea ceremony masters from long ago.
