Japanese vintage ceramic yellow vessel, sweet container, Salad bowl Kiseto ware serving plates for Tea Ceremony with Kanji wood box 6.3in.

This is a pottery vessel called 黄瀬戸Ki-seto.
Ki-Seto is one of the major styles of 美濃Mino ware produced during the 桃山Momoyama period (1573-1600). As the word suggests, Ki-Seto means yellow-glazed Seto ware. The handmade shape of this pottery, which is made by hand on a potter's wheel, has a gentle distortion, which also makes it interesting.
Another feature is the stamped floral design. These stamps are also all handmade.
The pale green color of the copper glaze in some places is faintly beautiful and adds to the depth of the overall color.
This piece seems more like a pale green or beige than yellow.
It is in good condition and comes with the old original box, making it a great gift for those who love vessels.
It is a wonderful, elegant and warm item with the characteristics of pottery especially favored by tea masters.
