Even in matcha tea ceremony, tea utensil such as a lid stand with turban shell's shape is used. This is a stunning replica of a turban shell, its horn providing a counterbalance to the intricate spiral design. The distinctive green of the Oribe glaze beautifully reproduces even the tiny seaweed clinging to the turban shell. The tiny turban shell perched on the lid adds to its charm.
With its perfectly functional spout featuring a series of tiny holes, which are challenging to manufacture, this teapot allows you to brew tea to the perfect strength simply by adding tea leaves.
