Japanese vintage cast iron kettle with sign Nambu Tetsubin 1980s ARARE design metal craft Tea pot tea ceremony H7.7×7.7in/H19.5×19.5cm.
This is called a nanbu teapot, made by casting iron. The surface is decorated with irregular patterns called “arare.” The characters “南部” can be faintly seen on the underside of the spout.
It is in good condition and ready for immediate use. There is rust on the inside of the kettle, but it is still usable.
When you boil water in an iron kettle, iron and other minerals are replenished.
It is said that this iron enhances the flavor of Japanese tea.

It is in good condition, but there are rust ,scratches and dirt due to aging.
There is some rust on the inside of the kettle and the lid, but it is harmless to humans and safe for drinking.
I list antiques that sometimes have chips, rubbings and cracks
as they are very old antiques so please check the images and understand the current
condition before buying.
