Japanese vintage bronze vase dark greenish bronze with signed for Tea ceremony, name 鶴首TSURUKUBI shape of the neck of a crane H9.6in/H24.5cm.

This is a vase made of copper named "鶴首 Tsuru-kubi".
This unique name is said to be derived from the shape of the vase's neck, which stretches from the mouth to the bottom like a crane. This vase is ideal for beautifully displaying a single flower and has been used in the tea ceremony in Japan.
The simple appearance of this vase will never get boring and can give a different impression depending on the flowers you place in it.
It is also famous that "千利休 Sen no Rikyu", the founder of "侘び茶 wabi-cha", owned this crane neck as his favorite item. The color changes from the bottom to the top, black to brass gradually.

The condition is excellent, with a kanji signature on the back. It is in usable condition.
Its simple and elegant design complements any type of flower.
