This painting features Mount Fuji, one of Japan's most iconic mountains.

It was painted by Kishinami Ryukei (1855-1935). He was born to a doctor for a samurai of the Sendai domain and lost his hearing due to an illness at a young age. He later studied under the Southern painting artist Tazaki Soun and became a successful artist.
