This is a tray made of wood and black lacquer. It has a beautiful design and can be used to hold tea sets, sake sets, or accessories.  
It is rectangular in shape and has some small scratches, but no major damage.  
There are some fine scratches on the back.  

The surface is decorated with a gold iris crest.  
The iris crest is a family crest derived from the iris flower. The iris is a perennial plant in the Campanulaceae family and is one of the “Seven Herbs of Autumn.” As a pattern, it has been seen since the mid-Heian period. Its beauty and the fact that the character for “iris” is composed of the characters for ‘further’ and “good fortune” give it a auspicious meaning as a family crest. It is famous as the family crest of Akechi Mitsuhide.
