Japanese old ceramic antique ORIBE master pair bowl dish, Tea ceremony minimalist abstract 1930s kiln art craft W5.1in/W13cm.
The green glaze is so beautiful that in Japan it is called 織部Oribe green.
Oribe ware is a tea bowl produced by Oribe Furuta, a disciple of (利久)Rikyu, the founder of the tea ceremony, and a military commander of the Momoyama period (1573 – 1603).
This is a slightly deeper dish, called mukozuke, and is used in Japanese cuisine to serve sashimi and other Japanese dishes.
The shape is not merely rectangular, but has distortions and other changes. The inside is decorated with three phoenixes.
The green glaze and the lines drawn freely like a child are the best part of Oribe.
