Japanese antique vase "BIZEN ware" pottery flower vase name of A top in the shape of a bellflower with Kanji signature wooden box H9.4×4.1in.
This work is very beautiful in shape. A simple but impressive shape with a gourd-like design.
You can feel the strength of the soil itself in the color.
There is a very small chip on the edge of the mouth, but it is a level that you will not notice unless you look closely. You can decorate it with flowers right away.
This is a pottery made in Okayama prefecture called Bizen ware.
From the Kofun period (mid-3rd century to 7th century) to the Heian period (794 to 1185), there were scattered pottery kilns that were the origin of Bizen ware called Sue pottery. During the Kamakura period (1185 – 1333), the current brown pottery was burned. It is a firing method in which sufficient oxygen is added to the kiln, and the characteristic is that it is baked in a warm color. It is hard-baked without using glaze, and the natural beauty of the soil is beautiful. Another reason for its popularity is that the colors change in the kiln and no one is the same. It is said that the more you use it, the better the color will change without getting tired of it.
