Japanese antique bronze Old 1800s bell Buddhist with sorcerer Chanting For tea ceremony H6.5in×3.5in/16.5×9cm.

In Japan, it has long been thought to have the meaning of purifying and purifying by calling on God by ringing a bell.In that sense, bells are a tool that connects with God in Japan and have an important meaning.
In many shrines, a large copper bell is hung in the center of the hall of worship, and hemp rope, red and white, and five-colored cloth are hung along with this bell, and worshipers shake it to ring the bell. Something like a prayer signal.

It is not clear what this was made for. Perhaps it was originally a bell of religious significance. If you look closely at this design, the handle is made to look like a human being. Looking at its clothing and hairstyle, it is based on a figure from around the Yayoi period. He wears a large necklace and probably looks like a person of authority or a sorcerer. There is also a design that looks like a crest with three gradient balls underneath and a relief that looks like a leaf of a plant.
There are not many of these designs, and several can be seen in Japan, although they vary in size.
Again, we have listed two large and two small ones.

The usage of the design has changed over time, and it is sometimes used like a doorbell in the tea ceremony.
They look cool just by displaying them, but they can also be used to ring the bells.
