Japanese antique bronze mirror Kagami with relief of cranes and pine with wooden case traditional Japan Geisha accessory SAMURAI H13.2×9.3in.

This item was used as a mirror by geisha in Japan long ago.
It comes in a case made of wood and lacquer.
The case has the samurai crest written on it, which gives it a cool aged look.
This crest is called 巴紋Tomoe Mon(crest), and it is one of the traditional Japanese patterns shaped like a comma or gradient ball.
There are various theories about this motif, such as it is said to be the shape of swirling water or it represents the yin and yang.
In Japan, this crest was often used as a talisman to ward off fires since ancient times. It is also used in many shrines to ward off evil spirits.

Cranes and pine trees are represented by reliefs on the front side.
Cranes is symbols of longevity in Japan. The pine tree is also a symbol of congratulations.
The time-honored bronze rust has a cool atmosphere. It is recommended to decorate and enjoy this rather than using it as a mirror.
