This tea set includes a teapot and cups, allowing you to enjoy Japanese *sencha* right away.

The pieces are made of *Agano-yaki* (Agano ware). Since *Agano-yaki* originated with kilns dedicated to producing tea ware, the pieces are prized for being lightweight and easy to use. They also feature a wide variety of glazes; the style is best known for its "Rokusho-nagashi" (flowing copper-green glaze) technique, which creates a vivid blue-green hue using copper oxide. Generally, the pieces are not hand-painted; instead, the rich colors and textures are created through chemical reactions in the glaze during firing (known as *yōhen* or kiln transformation). This particular set showcases beautiful, subtle color variations blending shades of green, blue, and beige.

The set includes a teapot, five teacups, and a *yuzamashi* (water-cooling vessel).

A *yuzamashi* is a vessel used to lower the temperature of hot water before brewing the tea.

This is an unused "deadstock" item. It comes with a wooden box, making it an excellent choice for a gift.
