The Legend of Hyuga Clamshells:
These are not ordinary glass or resin imitations. The white stones are crafted from the rare "Hamaguri" clamshell, known for their distinct, fine grain and silky luster. The black stones are hand-cut from "Nachi-ishi," a deep, matte black slate found only in the sacred Kumano region. To play with these natural treasures is to engage in a 1,000-year-old sensory tradition where the sound, weight, and cool touch of each stone elevate the spirit of the game.

Master-Crafted Quality:
At 10mm thick, these stones provide a satisfying "snap" against the board and a comfortable grip for the fingers. As each stone is individually hand-finished, you will notice subtle, charming variations in size and grain—the definitive marks of authentic natural materials.

Condition & Wabi-Sabi Character:
Very Beautiful Condition. The stones have been preserved with great care. While a few stones may show microscopic surface marks from past matches, there are no major chips or structural flaws. The wooden bowls have a rich, aged patina that complements the timeless beauty of the stones.
