FINE! RARE! Japanese vintage Noh doll Koomote mask mask named "道成寺” made of wood and silk KIMONO for Gift H8.5×5.1in/H21.5×13cm

This Noh doll wearing a woman's Noh mask is beautifully crafted. The kimono and other costumes are also beautiful, and the hands are delicately made.
It exudes a slightly melancholic and mysterious atmosphere.  
This is one of a series of dolls created with the theme of 能 Noh, a traditional Japanese performing art. Other dolls by the same artist are also listed.
This puppet is based on a performance called 三井寺 Mitsui-ji.  
The woman in the puppet lost her child and danced at a temple to mourn her loss, but she went mad. However, she regained her sanity through the mercy of Buddha and ultimately attained enlightenment.  
This puppet is known as a moving work depicting deep human love, suffering, and salvation.  
It stands on a square wooden base, but the brown tray underneath is not included.
