FINE! RARE! beautiful set of 4 plates Japanese antiques porcelain ceramic hand paint dish Indigo Blue White shell pattern KOIMARI 1800s.

This is an Imari ware made in the late Edo period and is called Ko-Imari. It is very high quality and rare design, and is very valuable.
This dish was made by special order, so we have never seen a dish with such a design.
The overall level of the old pottery made here is high. The dishes are thin and light. The first distinctive feature is the shape, which is based on a seashell motif. The entire piece is expressed three-dimensionally like a seashell, and the rim is also shaped like a flower or the edge of a seashell, making it delicate and beautiful.
In the center is a starfish-like design. The fact that each piece is hand-drawn and therefore slightly different from the next is also interesting.
Everything is elaborate and wonderful.
Since these plates are rarely available, they are very popular among collectors in Japan. There are a few repairs to the rim.
It is beautiful not only as a plate, but also as a saucer for teacups and accessories.
